What is going on NOW!

As I sleep on the couch I felt like my body could not cool down from the intense heat that radiated from my body when Detective O'Connor was here earlier. But right now it felt like I was on fire! I lifted my head my headache has calmed down from earlier but it was still in the far back of my head. I brought my hands up to run them through my long black hair that I must have pulled out the ponytail from earlier.

“OH MY GOD!” I screamed like I have never screamed before.

“My hhhands are on, on, on FIRE!!!!” I ran to find my mother, no one is here.

I throw water on myself I even stopped, dropped, and rolled like they taught us all through school nothing was making the fire go out. The weird thing is that I can see the fire and my skin is hot but my skin was not burning.

The back door slammed opened but no one was there but a wind that was so strong I felt like I was in a wind tunnel at first I could barely stand. Then my Great, Great, Great Grandmother Amelia was in front of me. She was so beautiful her hair was as golden as the first morning sun, features of a young woman slender built, but yet curvy, deep set eyes but they glowed of a crystal blue. Even though she was so different from the rest of my family’s features I could see my grandmother and mother in her. My mind not believing what it was seeing but I needed any help that I could get right now.

“Grandmother please help I don’t want to die like this!” I started to cry very hard.

Amelia grabbed my face and tilted it to look her in her eyes and spoke “My wonderful Great, Great, Great Granddaughter does the fire burn you?”

“No” I said with a confused look on my face.

“Then Why on earth do you think you are going to die from this Fire?” she looked confused herself as to why I did not know what was going on.

“Grandmother what is happening to me no one is explaining anything to me. No one is here to help me understand why I am here talking to you a “Spirit” or why I am on fire! Help me to understand PLEASE?”  I pleaded with her.

“No one likes a whiner my child! Look at me and calm down. I am here so you do have someone to explain and get you through this situation. Listen to me ok?” Amelia said firmly but very calmly.

I looked at my Great, Great, Great Grandmother Amelia and stood up straight, took a deep breath and listened to every word very closely.

Amelia started to talk “Julia does as I do! Raise both hands to the sky and look at the moon with your eyes and soul, repeat after me.”

I did as she said I raised my hands as high to the sky as they would go looking at them and then looked down at my body which was now completely covered in flames that did not burn my skin.

I started to freak a little but she told me to “Look at the moon now!” so I did.

“Repeat to the Goddesses above what I tell you.” She said

“Ok!” I was ready for us to begin; I looked at the moon with wide eyes and repeated everything Amelia said.

“I ask the Goddesses to send the four elements of power; I call for the elements of Air from the North Goddess, Earth from the South Goddess, and Water from the West Goddess and Fire from the East Goddess. I ask that you invoke me with the powers that be to do what is needed to develop my power and to know my place in the coven. Invoke me goddesses from the four corners, I have given to you my soul to change and empower. Blessed Be!”

I could feel a rumble from under my feet, then I felt air rushing down on me, then the smell of grass coming up from beneath me, the cool mist and smell of ocean water spraying me from the left, and the heat from the fire now has moved to my right. I felt like I was being filled with life from every element. How could I feel this great? Why I was never told of the abilities that I could have or did have? The elements started to fade away after a few minutes of being blasted with the powers from the Goddesses.

“My child do you feel the power coursing through your veins!” Amelia said

“Yes! But what does this mean?” I answered breathy

“My wonderful Great, Great, Great Granddaughter like I said to you before you were born for greatness. Over the course of this week your power will be determined. Each day an element will come to you and you will be able to use that power for that day the one that you will be invoked with will be made clear on the day of your birth at Midnight's full moon.” She explained.

I looked at my hands that was no longer on fire and asked her; “Grandmother does that mean tonight I have fire to work with? Has there ever been a witch that could take on all four elements at once?” Amelia looked at me with astonished eyes.

“Yes fire is your element for this evening. Tomorrow will come a new element use this wisely and learn to work with each element. As for your second question there is only one other that has only invoked all four elements she is the Grand Priestess she went missing years ago and has never been seen or heard from again. No one has yet to invoke all four elements since her. When you have your elemental power for the day you will need to burn the candle for that power. It will make you one with that element. Your mother will explain to you the order of candles and the colors. Blessed be my child all will be well.”

I looked at the ground and then looked up at her but she was gone but I could still smell her. She smelled of fresh herbs just picked from the garden. I used her farewell greeting “Blessed Be Great, Great, Great Grandmother!” it felt right to say. My mother and father are returning home, I can see the headlights coming down the drive yelling with a slight sob:

“MOM! DAD! I NEED YOU”!
