He left! Why did O'Connor leave?

“No need to be embarrassed it was a great view!” Detective O'Connor said with a grin on his face. He throws her dry clothes at her to change into.

“Here you go if you must change!” he said making a sour face at her.

“Yes I must, thank you very much!” she barked at him. Julia turned to head to the bathroom to change not wanting him to see the grin on her face.

“I don’t have to see you to know it excites you!” he said.

No! I will never get use to him knowing everything she thought to herself as she shut the door behind her. Dale and Jacqueline came back into the kitchen looking for their daughter. “She is putting dry clothing on!” Detective O'Connor told them,

“Let’s keep our voices down she is right in the bathroom. Jacqueline have you seen anything in the archives about the change happening so fast ever before?” He asked.

“I will have to make an excuse tomorrow to sneak down to the office before the events tomorrow. We need to find something about what is going on before something else happens.” Jacqueline said.

Dale looked at O'Connor “Myself and O'Connor will go through the files at the office and maybe look at the file on the Grand Priestess disappearance case. Pretty sure I remember there was something in the file regarding her change being unusual.” Dale said looking at O'Connor who shook his head in agreement.

“What case are you reviewing tomorrow can I come?” Julia chirped up behind her parents. Dale looked at his daughter saying “Not this time honey, maybe another case this one is a cold case but still active. Maybe another day! Plus your mother has a whole day planned for you remember?” Julia thought to herself dad has never told her no! This one was a firm No! “As long as it does not turn out like today!” she smiled at her mother to lighten the mood.

Detective O'Connor moved closer and placed his hand on the small of my back where my shirt did not cover the skin fully. He was brushing his thumb back in forth on my skin which was sending pure heat through my whole body. O'Connor new he did not need to push his energy out he could feel the heat radiating just from his touch on my skin.

“Can you walk me to my car?” Detective O'Connor asked

“How about I walk you to the picnic area and we can talk around the fire?” She smiled at him looked at Dale and Jacqueline to see if that was OK.

Dale looked at Detective O'Connor and said “While Julia goes and gets shoes and a jacket on I would like a few minutes of your time!”

“OK! I will meet you outside in a few minutes Julia!” he said as he gave a wink to her. Julia went up to her room to fix herself and her father and O'Connor stepped outside.

Dale looked at O'Connor with his most stern look “My family is everything to me! I wanted to thank you for being here tonight you bring a light to my daughter, that I have never seen before. But she has never experienced any type of relationship that I am aware of except for the few weeks with Ryan and you have met that one. She is headstrong and very independent but she does need you close and you driving here when there is an emergency from Columbus is a huge life risk to you and her.” Dale sighed cleared his throat and continued “I know you have not united fully yet and if you were to come to your death she will not but her heart will never love another like the love of an eternal mate. I also see how hard it is to see you two leave each other. Me and Jackie were thinking of turning the barn into an apartment for Julia when she goes off to school so she could feel more independent but if you would like you can fix it up and live there for now?” Dale asked him but his tone said you will live there.

“Dale I do appreciate that very much, but I would not want to put you and Jacqueline out. I can find something a little closer!” said O'Connor.

“We will not take no for answer but there is a catch!” Dale told him,

“That would be?” O'Connor asked confused to where this was coming from.

“You have found Julia so early and she really has not got to experience life fully yet. Let her experience other relationships and college life until she turns 21 when you were truly supposed to come together. We know it is a lot to ask of you but she needs this since this change happened so fast.” Dale said.

“I will think it over and tell you what I decide in the next few days. Again thank you for the offer but the catch is hard to swallow. You know the strength and energy that I would have to exude to stay away from her like that, and to have another man in the picture is extremely a hard bite to swallow. I will let you know!” Detective O'Connor looked up at Julia in her window.

“Please tell Julia I will see her later. I have something’s I need to decide on don’t I.”Detective O'Connor said and shook Dales hand and got in his car and started down the driveway. Looking out his rear view mirror he saw Julia coming out the door for their evening together. That was now not going to happen. Then he seen the flame that burst forth from her, he knew it was headed straight for him. He punched the accelerator to try to outrun the energy.

Julia looked at her father “What happened? Where is he going?” Julia was very disappointed. Dale hugged his daughter. “He had something come up and he needed to leave!” I pushed my energy out so hard and fast my bottom hit the step and I busted into flames, he would feel the blast of how Pissed and disappointed I was. Dale and Jacqueline looked at their daughter “You are going to need to learn to control your emotions when you are with your elements.”

Detective O'Connor was hit with her energy so hard it made him swerve off the road. “How am I going to survive without this woman in my life? Living her own life with me just 100 yards away watching her! But she does need me right now too, just as much as I need her around. I have waited so long for her and to have Julia this early is a blessing in itself!” he thought to himself.

Julia went up to her bedroom to e-mail Detective O'Connor; she opened her computer to start the e-mail:

O'Connor,

What was so important that you had to leave like that? The one person I need here is you and you left! Did I do something to upset you? Am I not enough anymore for you? I had honestly started this e-mail pissed and wanted to tell you off, but now I am just really confused. I have never had feelings for a guy before and with you it just comes naturally, that is scary to me and exciting all at the same time. I really wanted us to spend time together to talk!  Have a great evening missing you so much already!

I don’t know why I got so upset and mad he obviously does not want to hang out with an 18 year old going through a change that is obviously making everyone on edge. I know he is my eternal mate but even so I would not blame him for leaving. Every time I find some new power or information everyone looks like they are in a state of sheer panic. Hopefully Detective O'Connor comes around tomorrow. Julia decides to go down stairs and practice some more.

Guess what I can do?

“Guess what I can do?” she taunted him O'Connor looked at Jacqueline she shrugged her shoulders.

“She has developed some unusual powers. She felt the second you relaxed and pulled you into her dream. Also her fire power is crazy strong! I would not be surprised if it is her gift on the full moon ceremony.” Jacqueline said with sadness

Julia looked at him and said “I ask the goddess of the East to allow me the element of fire.” Heat warmed her body from the east and then her whole body was a fire, her hair lifted, and the flames licked at her skin she shoved her hand straight up to the sky.

“May the element of fire surround my loved ones and protected them in the circle of fire protection!” Julia said allowed.

Then O'Connor looked around felt himself being pulled close to Julia without anyone touching him he moved to her back side on the left, and her mother was almost floating to her back side on the right. Then a burst of flames and heat surrounded them in a circle of fire.

“Can either of you throw something at us with your mind?” she asked both of them.

“Yes give me a minute to build the energy!” her mother said, and then a second later a tree came flying at them. As it hit the flames that surrounded them it disintegrated the tree in a matter of seconds to ash.

“Goddess of the East thank you for the element of fire for mine and my family’s protection blessed be.” Julia said aloud, Julia looked at the two standing behind her and could not believe the shock on their face.

“Julia, who showed you how to control your element?” Jacqueline asked her daughter.

“I have had the time to play in here waiting on everyone to come and get me. Great, Great, Great

Grandmother Amelia helped me to invoke the elements and told me that I will receive a new power up until the moon ceremony where it will be determined what power I will be invoked with on that day.” Julia told her mother

“So if I ask the goddess to invoke me from the North, East, South, and West then if I need to use the power I will ask the goddess to allow me, if I needed to use it.” Julia said

“You are correct Julia, you need to ask. You also need to write down how you ask your goddess for your powers in a Book of Shadow which is your private spell journal. When you create a spell it is only as powerful as you write it to be. I can give you a spell from my Book of Shadows but you would have to tweak it to make it powerful for you.” Jacqueline told her daughter.

“I think I am ready to get back to dad!” Julia winked at Detective O'Connor who in return pushed his energy around her engulfing her with what has become her favorite feeling HIM!

She laughed and pushed the energy right back and just as strong. Detective O'Connor turned again with pure shock the female eternal mate should not be able to control the energies that a male eternal mate pushes out. Matter of fact a female eternal mate should never have that much strength and control over her partner.

Dale saw his wife starting to stir and then stretch. Dale was relieved that his wife was back then

Detective O'Connor came around the corner Dale looked up.

“You always fall asleep on the job!” Dale said with a laugh.

“Do you want to tell him or me?” Detective O'Connor asked Jacqueline.

Then Dale stopped laughing thinking something serious was about to be spoken about. Jacqueline took her husband's hands and walked him into the living room to tell him what has happened. Detective O'Connor sat down at the table thrusted his hands into his hair and noticed that Julia was starting to move around.Julia rolled her head as she had obviously been in that position for quite a while then she stretched back not realizing that anyone was sitting in front of her. Her grey t-shirt soaking wet clung to her body showing him a perfect view of what he was so desperately wanting to touch. He did not want to make a noise so he could have the view just for a minute longer but he could not do that to her.

“Hey you!” he said

“Holy Shit!” she said as she pushed back. “You scared the shit out of me!” she said

“Enjoying my view to much, thought I could not risk any longer looking at you without taking what I wanted.” he said nodding toward her shirt.

“Huhhhhhhhhh?” she said looking down realizing that her shirt is soaking wet and clinging to her body.

“Oh my god! I am so embarrassed!” Julia said as she wrapped her arms quickly around her.

“No need to be it was a great view!” Detective O'Connor said with a grin on his face. He throws her dry clothes at her to change into.

 

Update for everyone on Book being published!

Hello everyone I just wanted to update you on this seemingly long publishing adventure. I should be hearing from the publishing company this week to find out the next step and how long before the book is released. I am getting so excited for Wholehearted to be released! I am hoping everyone is enjoying the blog and I wanted to let you know I have started the second book in the series calling it Wholehearted The Hidden! Again I want to thank all of you for viewing the blog on a daily basis and all your support! I really hope you are enjoying it. It is so amazing all the different places that have viewed the blog thank you for all the support! I will have an update soon and as soon as I know you will know, promise. O'Connor is here!!!

I saw O'Connor coming down the driveway then to the back door where my parents where, I was so happy not only because he was here to be my fairy tail princess on a white horse here to save the day (Yuck cheesy how am I turning into that cheesy girl blah!), but just that fact that he knew I needed him brought him here made me and me senses so happy that he was here.

“I felt her fear and came immediately!” Detective O'Connor said to Dale.

“I will go left, you go right we will sweep the house to clear it and then come back to the kitchen.” Dale told him.

As Detective O'Connor come up the steps he sees Julia on the floor her sleek dark hair pulled back in a tight ponytail that was hanging over her shoulder, she was still in her favorite pajamas he felt earlier how comfortable she was in them they almost made her feel safe. But he noticed that they were soaking wet along with her hair. God what is going on? He thought to himself. Detective O'Connor pushed his energy out to touch her, caressing her. He just wanted to let her know he was there for her also.

“Dale, she is soaking wet. What do you see from where you are?” O'Connor asked

“Faucet is running there is a pitcher of water on the floor and a puddle that looks like maybe someone slipped in it or something?” Dale told him.

Jacqueline looked at Detective O'Connor “She is yelling telepathically, but can you feel the storm of magic in the air? There has been an ancient one here. Smell the fresh herbs in the air?” she asked him. O'Connor kissed her on the cheek and said “Then she has been in good hands! We will bring her back to us”.

Detective O'Connor god will I ever get use to having him come to my rescue or just be able to handle the way my body reacts to him. When he met my parents on the steps he pushed his energy around me to caress me and wrap around me to keep me safe and warm. I push it back to make him aware that I know he is here!

“Did you miss me?” I sent to him through my thoughts.

I remembered his words when he went around the house the other day “I miss you already”. It made me feel happy and safe hopefully he will know that I am safe and in no danger, just stuck. Detective O'Connor shot a look up and smiled at her with the wicked smile ever.

“You are alright then?” He sent back so quickly.

How can I talk to him easier than my mother? Is it because he is my eternal mate? It just took me more energy to push it back.

“Yes, Fire came to me tonight!” I sent back. Detective O'Connor looked at me then looked at my mom and dad.

“Dale, Jacqueline she is speaking to me too! Very easily I might say, she told me that fire has come to her on this night.” Detective O'Connor said.

“The powers should not have come so soon they should come gradually over a year and a day of teaching! Have you ever heard of this happening so quickly and to a new witch?” Jacqueline and Dale said.

“No! But I will do some research on this to answer your questions and my own!” Detective O'Connor told them.

“That explains the water, pitcher, and puddle!” Dale said.

“Jacqueline can you get to a calming meditative state and help her back in her body? Dale and I will look around the house to make sure no one else is here.” Detective O'Connor instructed after seeing that the two were in shock at this new information they were given. Dale snapped back he went to the left, Detective O'Connor went to the right and Jacqueline sat in front of her daughter grabbing her hands and centering herself. Dale and O'Connor made it back to the kitchen to find Jacqueline in a deep mediation.

“I will grab some dry clothes for Julia you wait here for them to come too!” Dale told O'Connor.

As Dale went upstairs O'Connor went to the living room looking where he last left Julia lying on the couch. Why did I leave her? I am supposed to protect her? Why is she going through this change so quickly?  O'Connor thought to himself as he sat next to her pillow and laid his head back and closed his eyes he thought for just a second.

“Hello Stranger!” Julia said with her mother next to her. O'Connor jumped out of his skin he did not think he fell asleep....

Who was that Women?

That was weird she just looked at me and stared then she was gone! I have never seen her before or anyone else that even looked like her. She was strong and beautiful, but I felt safe with her not scared! I thought back to the voice in my head, it was a beautiful whisper of a voice very comforting. I new that it was someone trying to help, but the voice was not my mothers or Amelia's I hope I find out soon so that I can talk to her again, I need to make a mental note to investigate.

Then Julia heard “Know that you are made for Greatness and there is so much more than you know coming your way and that you can do! Think and it shall be done! Blessed be!” Julia heard the unknown voice again. In a quick second before I could ask who she was there was a rush of wind and smoke from fire my fire formed into a cloud and she was gone.

Julia was scared and at ease at the same time, how can this be?  Who was she? And where did she come from? Maybe tomorrow I can sneak to my mom’s office and check in the archives or town history and see if there are any pictures of this person. Well I will practice some more mom and dad is still not here what is taking them so long it is like they are in slow motion. I tried to push the energy of the fire towards mom and dad’s car it reached the car and it was like pushing fast forward on a movie the car was at the back steps before I knew it.

Julia can see her parents standing at the door looking scared and unsure of what is going on. Why don’t they come in and help me let me know what is going on. “Mom, Dad what are you doing?” Julia asked. Why are they not answering me they act like they cannot even hear me? What is going on! I look around the room everything seems normal then I look to my right and hello there is my body knelt down on my knees head hung with my hair pulled back with a ponytail holder that I thought had been burned out of my hair. I try several times to return to my body but unlike before I cannot get back this is a sleep that is deeper then I have ever been in before.

“MOM!” Julia screamed!

Jacqueline hears her daughter yelling for her again. Julia sees her mother look at her and the words come slowly.

“I am coming for you honey” Jacqueline said to her daughter.

I am scared and just want to wake up, why can’t I just wake up Julia says to herself. As I look at my mother I see a light off into the distance behind her coming up the drive and I know instantly who it is O'Connor!

“She is communicating telepathically; I told her we are coming for her!” Jacqueline told her husband.

Dale turned to answer her when he saw the lights coming up the driveway. The vehicle was flying then came to a slamming stop. Detective O'Connor jumped out and looked at Dale with a nod of the head...

Waiting for help!

Mom and dad keep trying to help me! I see her talking I just can not hear what she is saying, so I tried screaming at her again "MOM HELP PLEASE I AM TRAPPED! I CAN NOT GET BACK TO MY BODY!" My mom looked at my dad and I knew she heard me.

Dale looked around the kitchen to see if he could see what if anything might have happened. He could see that his daughter was soaking wet, the sink was still running and a puddle of water in the floor which looked like someone had rolled or slipped in. "Something has defiantly happened! I just do not know if it is all in her dream or for real?" Dale said

Jacqueline looked at him shoving him hard "Ass her dreams are real!" she was pissed really pissed!

"I just said that to lighten the mood a little." he glared at her confused

"Wrong time to lighten the mood Dale!" she said as she looked away from him

"Sorry!" Dale knew he was in trouble because Jacqueline called him by his first name

"Let's just get to her before something else happens and we can not get her back!" she said shaking her head in disbelief

Jacqueline and Dale continued to work to figure out their next move! Julia thought maybe she should practice

“Fire surround me in a circle of protection!” the fire pushed off her body and made a pocket that just held her in the center.

“What do I do now?” she said out loud then she looked up at the back door to see a women

standing at the door!

This women did not speak she looked to be 25 years old, beautiful brown hair down to mid back, large brown eyes and a cream color of skin. Where did she come from? Who was she? Next thing I knew she had a large branch in her hand then she came at me full force swinging the branch at the shield of fire around me. I immediately crouch down thinking that the branch is going to hit me hard but the branch was gone in a matter of seconds. Then with a wave of her hand she had several items floating around her. In my head I heard a voice that was unfamiliar to me.

“Stay strong hold your ground, push your energy out! Center yourself take a deep breath and push!” I did what I was told the items flew at me, I took a deep breath and pushed my fire and energy out toward the items the energy pushed so hard that it knocked the women on her ass!

She stood up looked at me and bowed “Interesting!” I heard in my head again. Was this voice the woman or was there someone else out there that I could not see!

Mom Dad I need you!

My mom and dad was coming slowly down the drive. I am so scared of what just happened I knew being a witch you would get powers but why did my first one have to be FIRE! Amelia said that a new element would come up until the night of the full moon ceremony.  How many more things do I have to deal with in this week?

I think I am going to go crazy if things do not start coming into place! You know dealing with Graduation,  Colleges, Events like everyday, O'Connor, all these new fillings, birthday, full moon ceremony and now elements that are coming unexpectedly! Lets just hope not as dramatically as the fire element, But the way things have been going lately I think it will come no other way.

Why is it taking my mom and dad so long to get here? I think of putting a fire under their butts to get here then the next thing I know the car shoots up the drive and is at the back door before I know it. I am standing there but they act as if they do not see me. I turned around to walk back to where I was but WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? I am already there sitting on my knees hair still in a ponytail and dripping wet. Oh my god I am in a dream! Mom I scream she looks up as if she can here me. This is so freaky!

Jacqueline and Dale Wholeheart turned down the long drive to their home that sits on their property called “Gypsy Cove”. Dale looked at his beautiful wife who was dressed in an aqua form fitting dress that flattered those curves of hers. Jacqueline could feel her husband admiring her it sent her senses a fire. She smiled and started to turn to look at her husband, but as he finished the turn on to their drive the call hit her hard with nothing but pure heat behind its force “MOM! DAD! I NEED YOU!” It was not words aloud it was words telepathically so loud she covered her ears, as though she heard it out loud. Jacqueline looked at her husband with pure fear in her eyes! Dale could immediately feel the charge of an ancient one’s power in the air.

“Something has happened!” Dale told his wife

“Julia needs us! We need to get to her.” Jacqueline told her husband who agreed and nothing else was spoken.

Dale hit the gas pedal so hard at his size and strength it should have went through the floor. The engine roared to life and the both of them from the sheer force of the car taking off held them back in their seats.

“Dale, what could have happened? We were only gone for a couple of hours! Julia has had so much thrown at her the last couple of days now this!” Dale grabbed his wife’s hand and squeezed to let her know he has her, he will take care of them. He did not have to speak Jacqueline knew with just a simple gesture that he is their rock and he will handle everything.

As the car squealed to a stop at the back door Dale saw that the door is standing wide open.“Stay in the car you will know when it is safe to follow!” Dale told Jacqueline. Jacqueline shook her head to answer him. Dale opened the car door and stepped out into an invisible storm outside his house. The sheer power that he could feel in the air rippled across his skin. People bumps as Julia would call them instead of goose bumps raised all over his body. He crept up to the steps grabbed for the gun that was strapped to his ankle making sure to look over his shoulder, behind him and under the stairs, he could see nothing! As he approached the top step he saw Julia on the kitchen floor sitting on her knees.

“Julia, you okay?” He stated in a whisper tone, but no answer!

He looked at his wife who was anxiously awaiting him to tell her it was all clear to come behind him. He nodded the signal that Jacqueline had been waiting on so desperately. She jumped at the anticipation of going to her daughter. As Dale felt the power when he stepped out so did Jacqueline it rippled up her spine.

“Did you feel that?” she asked her husband, he flung his head to the side to tell her to come closer.

She did as she was told! Jacqueline was looking behind her, looking for something that was there but in the distance she could feel it! She reaches the top step and turned her head the see Julia in the middle of the kitchen floor. As her hands where coming up to cover her mouth she screamed “JULIA!” Shit her hands were too late!

Dale looked at his wife and saw the color leaving her face. He grabbed her and made her look at him.

“Jackie, I need you to stay calm and talk in a whispering tone to Julia, try to get her to respond to you.

Ok?” Dale told her firmly. Jacqueline shook her head and looked back at her daughter that was on the floor who she so desperately wanted to grab and hold.

“Julia, its mom and dad honey! Can you let me know you are Ok?” Jacqueline said with a sob at the answer she did not receive.

Jacqueline whipped her head back towards the woods “Dale someone is or was here recently, I can feel the charge!” Jacqueline said as she grabbed her husband’s shirt tighter.

“I know I felt it too! I think she is being protected by an elder!” Dale told his wife with a grumble as his shirt started to pull on his neck tighter and tighter.

“I am going to search the house; you stay here until I wave you in ok!” He asked Jacqueline she was shaking.

“Jacqueline stay with me she will be ok we will get her back!” Jacqueline looks up into her husband’s eyes. 

Dale saw the tears touching her eyes slowly cresting over the bottom lid and running down her face. “Jackie stay strong we need to bring her back to us! I need you to do this with me, can you do this?”

Jacqueline looks at Dale shakes her head answering his question quietly.
